Connect the USB connector to the USB port, you should get a message that it needs some drivers.  Load the CD that came with the kit and install the drivers.

Attach the battery pack to the transmitter on the encoder

Do NOT connect the receiver to the USB port yet

Follow the below instructions, and at the very end, connect the receiver module to the PC

This is the first screen you will see upon opening the program, type in any connection name and hit OK.

Upon clicking OK, you will see this screen, go to the 'Connect using:' section and select COM3 or COM4

Click OK, then this comes up, set the setting as in the last diagram, 9600bd and no Flow Control.

Like this, click OK.

You should get a black screen.  Now connect the receiver module to the USB port and this shows up:

This should then come up on the screen, enjoy.  If this does not come up in your screen, select a different COM port.  There might be more than only 3 and 4.  Each computer is different.
