NEW EXPLOSION PROOF CONNECTOR FOR OUR ENCODERS

Hohner is in the final stages of developing an Ex d connector that is live mateable.  This allows Hohner to offer Ex d encoders with a connector at extremely competitive prices.  The connectors will be rated up to 220V.

NEW GALVANIC ISOLATOR FOR OUR ENCODERS

Hohner already has zener barriers for its encoders, and is now developing a new galvanic isolator, ready for summer 2009

NEW Extra Large Bore Hollow Shaft Encoder up to 115mm

Hohner Italy has developed a new extra large encoder, with shaft sizes up to 115mm.  The unit is made of Aluminum and has various options.

NEW Ex de ENCODER

Hohner is in the final stages of developing an Ex de encoder.  An explosion proof encoder that can be wired up in the field, simplifying installation and making life easier if the cable gets cut.

TWO NEW CNC MACHINES ADDED TO HOHNER MACHINE SHOP

Hohner has invested in two brand new CNC machines.  A top of the line Bridgeport XR760 Miller and a Hardinge GS200 Lathe.  This allows us to improve our lead times and also allows us to make some next generation products.

NEW SUBMERSIBLE

New range of submersible encoders now available with a depth rating of 3,000ft (1,000m = 100 bar)

ATEX and IECEx UPDATED CERTIFICATES

Our incremental 5...24V and NAMUR circuit certificates have been updated to the latest EN60079.  Hohner will do its best to ensure all certificates comply with latest standards.

NEW CERTIFIED WIRELESS ENCODERS

New range of wireless encoders with ATEX and IECEx certification for use in hazardous areas such as oil rigs and mining equipment.  These are fully wireless, as the battery pack is intrinsically safe as well.

NEW 2.5" US STANDARD SQUARE FLANGE ENCODER

Heavy duty version, in stainless or aluminum, with 4.5 mm thick walls of machined metal.  NAMUR or standard electronics available, IECEx and ATEX and UL certified for intrinsic safety.

NEW AND BETTER TEST CHAMBER FOR -40 TESTING

We are now able to test our encoders to -75 degrees, four at a time.  Improving our lead times for our 'arctic' range of encoders fourfold.

NEW IECEx CERTIFICATION

Existing range of EEx ia IIB and IIC encoders with ATEX certified to IECEx standard.  These are the first Ex ia IIB and IIC encoders availalbe with IECEx on the market

NEW CNC MACHINE ADDED TO OUR MACHINE SHOP

Hohner now has 6x CNC machines in our machine shop.  3x Millers and 3x Lathes.

Range of small and medium size explosion proof encoders with ATEX and IECEx certification.  These are the first Ex d IIC encoders with IECEx  available on the market.
